"GO WEST YOUNG MAN!"
Although this famous quote has been associated with Horace Greeley, he did not originate it. The saying was actually "coined" by an Indiana newspaperman named John Soule in 1851. Later, Greeley re-printed Soule's entire article so he would receive the credit he deserved.
