Tokyo Rose
(actually known at the time as "Orphan Anne") - Japanese American
woman, Ikuko Toguri, was trapped in Tokyo when war broke out. Unable to
return to the U.S., she ended up broadcasting anti-US propaganda for a Tokyo
radio station. Upon returning the the U.S. she was imprisoned for treason
and served 6 years of a 10 year sentence. In 1976, President Gerald Ford
issued a presidential pardon to her.
